Denver’s Holiday Toy Drive Aims to Brighten 40,000 Kids’ Seasons
The Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver are launching their annual holiday toy drive to support over 40,000 children. The initiative, called Together for Colorado Toy Drive, runs from November 17 to December 24 and collects new, unwrapped toys for young people aged 5 to 18. Many of the families served by the clubs face financial challenges, with half earning £35,000 or less per year.
The toy drive is a partnership between the Boys and Girls Clubs and King Soopers. Donation bins have been placed in participating stores across the Denver metro area, making it easy for shoppers to contribute. The goal is to ensure every child in the clubs receives a gift this holiday season, including teenagers who are often overlooked in similar campaigns.
The toy drive will accept donations until December 24 at King Soopers stores. Organisers hope to gather enough gifts so no child in the Boys and Girls Clubs goes without a present. The initiative reflects the clubs’ broader mission to support young people and their families year-round.
