"Delivering Seized Items to Needy Families": Items seized during the "From Heart to Heart" campaign will be distributed among impoverished families in Almaty.
Over 300,000 pieces of clothing, obtained by a court order, will be distributed to low-income families in Almaty as part of the "From Heart to Heart" charity campaign. The city's Department of State Assets is spearheading this initiative in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare.
During Almaty's state of emergency, the Department of State Assets provided 1,000 pairs of shoes to those in need, as reported by Almaty.tv. The seized property, which also includes toys and footwear, has been transformed into aid for the city's socially vulnerable segments.
Rustem Aliyev, head of the city's Department of State Assets, said, "We have received seized property, and, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare, have proposed to transfer this inventory to those in need. Our proposal was supported."
District akimats are currently compiling lists of low-income families that will receive the clothing. Volunteers have taken on the task of sorting the items, and the city's Department of Social Welfare has acknowledged their invaluable contributions, along with generous donations of bags from city patrons.
Rahyla Mahpirova, head of the city's Department of Social Welfare, praised the volunteers, stating, "More than 30 volunteers helped us with the complete sorting of this clothing, and large families and the volunteer league have also participated. A patron who provided this warehouse free of charge for a month—that's what we call volunteering."
