Delhi's New Electric Double-Decker Tours Showcase Landmarks Sustainably

SWITCH Mobility has launched a new CSR initiative in Delhi, offering guided tours on electric double-decker buses. The service, called Dekho Meri Dilli, aims to showcase the city's landmarks in a sustainable way. The programme reflects Ashok Leyland's push for green mobility and community engagement. The tours run daily from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., starting and ending at Dilli Haat - INA. Passengers travel aboard the SWITCH EiV 22, India's first air-conditioned electric double-decker bus. The route covers key sites like Vijay Chowk, Rashtrapati Bhavan, the National Museum, and India Gate.

The EiV 22 is built locally under the *Make in India* initiative and meets FAME II standards. It features a 231 kWh battery, delivering up to 250 km of range, and seats 65 people. Advanced technology includes a 650V system, liquid-cooled batteries, and dual-gun charging for faster power-ups. This initiative follows SWITCH Mobility's earlier deployment of 100 electric double-decker tourist buses across Indian cities. The company's focus remains on expanding eco-friendly transport while promoting cultural heritage.

The Dekho Meri Dilli tours provide a zero-emission alternative for sightseeing. The service combines comfort, sustainability, and access to Delhi's historic landmarks. SWITCH Mobility's electric buses continue to support Ashok Leyland's vision for cleaner urban transport.
