Covington Hosts Powerhouse Event for Women Entrepreneurs This Month
A major event celebrating women in entrepreneurship will take place this month in Covington. The Women Leading Change – Through Entrepreneurship gathering brings together influential leaders to discuss business growth and empowerment. The panel features experts from organisations known for supporting female founders worldwide.
The event runs on Thursday, February 19, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at Wenzel Distillery on 412 Madison Avenue. Four distinguished speakers will share their insights on scaling businesses and overcoming challenges in entrepreneurship.
Jill Morenz, President and CEO of Aviatra Accelerators, joins as a panellist. Her organisation provides women entrepreneurs with training, mentorship, and funding opportunities. Rachel DesRochers, founder of Power to Pursue, also takes part, focusing on sustainable and purpose-driven business models.
Sarah Grace Mohr, CEO of MACKEY & The Prosperity People, will discuss financial mindset and leadership. Nancy Grayson, President and CEO of Horizon Community Foundation, moderates the session.
The discussion aligns with global efforts to boost women-led startups. Cities like San Francisco, New York, London, Tel Aviv, and Berlin have long supported female entrepreneurs through initiatives such as SF Women in Tech, WE NYC, and Frauenunternehmen Berlin. These programmes have helped thousands of women scale businesses through mentorship and networking.
The Women Leading Change event highlights the growing influence of women in business. Attendees will hear from leaders who have built successful ventures and supported others in doing the same. The session aims to inspire action and collaboration among aspiring entrepreneurs.
