"Contest perseveres in Yakutsk": A continuation of the ongoing event in Yakutsk.
Yakutsk City Administration, in collaboration with NVK "Sakha", invites residents of all ages (14 and above) to participate in the city photo contest titled "Yakutsk Inspires". This contest, held in celebration of Yakutsk's 392nd anniversary, aims to promote a positive image of the city, propagate its historical and cultural heritage, and reflect the social and cultural life of Yakutsk through photography.
The contest features five categories: "Historical Yakutsk", "City Life", "City People", "City Landscapes", and a unique "Creative Photo Series" where participants can submit a series of 5-10 photographs united by the common theme "My Yakutsk" with an original and creative approach to photography.
In the "Historical Yakutsk" category, participants can submit historical photographs or archival photos of the city environment and residents from the 19-20 centuries. The "City Life" category encourages submissions of photographs of mass events, scenes from the daily life of citizens, and genre photographs. The "City Landscapes" category invites submissions of photographs of landmarks (architectural monuments), recognizable locations, and favourite places of residents. In the "City People" category, participants can submit individual and group photographs (portraits) of Yakutsk residents.
Participants can submit one work per category. The deadline for submissions is September 5. Applications to participate and photographs should be sent to the email address [email protected] by the same date.
The authors of the best works will be awarded diplomas and valuable prizes. The best works from the photo contest "Yakutsk Inspires" will be published on the websites of Yakutsk City Administration (yakutskcity.ru), "Yakutia 24" (yk24.ru), and other media outlets. Additionally, participants will receive certificates for their contributions.
