Construction of Kutuzov Square in Vladivostok is now complete
In the heart of Vladivostok, the city's transformation is underway. The "Infrastructure for Life" national project is bringing new life to Kutuzov Square and the second part of Sportivnaya Gavan' embankment.
The reconstruction of the second part of Sportivnaya Gavan' embankment, located near Bataryonnaya Street, is nearing completion. This phase of the project includes the construction of an amphitheater offering breathtaking views of the sea.
Meanwhile, Kutuzov Square is also seeing significant changes. The contractor has been tasked with various tasks, such as leveling benches to a standard height, trimming greenery, and the installation of pedestrian paths, staircases, a children's playground, and slides. The repair works have also included the restoration of the monument to Field Marshal Mikhail Kutuzov.
Konstantin Shestakov, the city's mayor, has been closely monitoring the progress of these projects. He recently visited Kutuzov Park along with public observers, providing an opportunity to consider the opinions of the citizens and make the rest areas even more comfortable.
Decorative stones have been removed from high-traffic areas and near children's playgrounds in Kutuzov Square for safety reasons. The contractor has also been requested to level benches in the square to ensure uniformity.
The beautification of Kutuzov Square is expected to be completed by the end of summer, with only the installation of small architectural forms, lighting, and a video surveillance system remaining. The second part of Sportivnaya Gavan' embankment's beautification details, including the contractor and budget, have not been publicly disclosed.
For the latest updates and detailed information on these projects, it is recommended to consult official Vladivostok city government releases, the Infrastructure for Life national project’s official communications, or local news sources in Vladivostok.
The renovation plans for Kutuzov Square and the second part of Sportivnaya Gavan' embankment, part of the "Infrastructure for Life" national project, aim to enhance the overall lifestyle experience for Vladivostok residents and visitors. This will also include the transformation of Kutuzov Square into a home-and-garden space, featuring pedestrian paths, children's playgrounds, and other amenities.
