The city of Tomsk is buzzing with activity today as the city-wide clean-up hits its stride. According to Mayor Dmitriiy Mahinia, expressed in his Telegram channel, around 2,300 residents are expected to participate in this environmental initiative.

The event, which has been announced for April 26, has various locations across the city. Participants will be cleaning up areas on Naхиmova Street, Berdskoye (houses 9-13), the square adjacent to DK "Avanhard" from Ivan Chernykh Street, around the monument and on Ivan Chernykh Street from Beriniga Street to Lazareva, on Lebedeva Street, 34v and along a section of that street from the Kosmosololsky Prospekt to Oleg Koshevoy Street.

Mahinia encouraged everyone to join in and make Tomsk a little bit cleaner, saying, "Today, we're hosting a nationwide clean-up, and it's really gathering steam. Many people have taken to the streets, the weather's cooperating, spirits are high. Young Tomsk residents are competing in the waste collection competitions. I invite everyone to join in!"

As of now, the city championship for waste collection is taking place in the Lagerny Park, Mahinia's press service staff clarified.
