Charity Club Night Organized by Renate: A fundraising event aimed at supporting Berlin's homeless population
Rise Nights, a Berlin-based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting homeless communities, is teaming up with one of the city's most popular clubs, Renate, for an unforgettable event on August 8. This collaboration marks a significant step for Rise Nights as they aim to transition from hosting small events to organising two large events per year.
The upcoming event promises a stellar lineup curated by Rise Nights, featuring PJ Bridger, Appleblim, Limo D, Maximum Tilt, and Marie Modori. Tickets for this special night are now available online.
Rise Nights was founded at the end of 2022 by DJs and promoters Genevieve Ataro and Genevieve Brady, who are also volunteers at Rise Foundation. The party-focused fundraising arm of Rise Foundation works exclusively with musicians and venues that participate free of charge, allowing them to donate 100% of profits from each event to Rise Foundation. This money is then used to purchase and distribute supplies to homeless individuals in Berlin.
Rise Nights events are more than just a night out. They focus on creating a sense of community and empathy within the club scene, aiming to foster a socially conscious nightlife that connects entertainment with civic responsibility. The first Rise Nights event took place at Repeat Bar in Kreuzberg with about 30 friends, and since then, they have hosted approximately seven small events per year.
The team behind Rise Nights is passionate about addressing the growing issue of homelessness in Berlin and is frustrated with the lack of attention to and misunderstanding of those with living difficulties. They express concern about the growing reliance on grassroots organizations like Rise Nights to solve structural problems in the city.
Despite these challenges, the vibe and success of Rise Nights events have led to interest and anticipation for future events. The Renate x Rise Foundation event will take place at Alt-Stralau 70, Friedrichshain, starting from 11pm.
