Parades for Great Patriotic War Veterans in Omsk
Let's chat about the traditional parades that take place annually in Omsk, Russia, before May 9th. These parades are held in the courtyards where heroes of the Great Patriotic War reside.
As it stands, the first three parades of the season have already been held in Omsk's Kirovsky District:
- At house 65 on Entuziastov Street for Smirnov Vasily Ivanovich;
- At house 63B for Pozhidaeva Valentina Ivanovna;
- On the grounds of School No. 63 for Davydov Vladimir Ivanovich.
During these events, veterans are showered with gifts and entertained by creative teams from the Palace of Culture of Students and Youth "Zvezdy" and the municipal dance ensemble "Irtysh."
As we speak, there are plans for more parades to take place in nine different courtyards in the Kirovsky District before May 6th.
