Canucks for Kids Fund's 36th Telethon unites fans for BC's children on March 19

The Canucks for Kids Fund will host its 36th annual Telethon on March 19th, continuing a four-decade tradition of supporting British Columbia's children and families. Since its founding, the fund has distributed over $115 million to local charities. This year's event, presented by TD, will coincide with the Canucks' home game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Telethon will be broadcast live, with Elliotte Friedman and Olivia McDonald leading the evening. Fans can contribute in multiple ways: online via the newly launched donation site, in person at Rogers Arena during the game, or through QR codes for instant tax receipts. Donations of $100 or more will receive an exclusive 8"x10" Black Skate-themed photo collage featuring Jake DeBrusk, Filip Hronek, Elias Pettersson, and Brock Boeser.

Last year's Telethon raised over $605,000, funding more than 140 organisations across BC. The money supports programmes focused on health, education, and community wellness. Beyond the Telethon, the Canucks have planned several Fan & Community Engagement Nights, including First Nations Celebration, Community Heroes Night, and Autism Acceptance Night. The fund's impact spans 40 years, with donations helping children's hospitals, youth sports, and educational initiatives. Every dollar raised stays in British Columbia, directly benefiting local families in need.

The March 19th event offers fans a chance to give back while enjoying the Canucks' matchup against Tampa Bay. Donations will build on the fund's long history of support, ensuring critical resources reach BC's children and families. Tax receipts and photo rewards are available for qualifying contributions.
