Byeon Woo-seok donates $69K to empower vulnerable girls in South Korea

Actor Byeon Woo-seok has donated 100 million won (around $69,221) to support girls from low-income households in South Korea. The funds will help improve their daily lives by ensuring access to basic hygiene and education. This marks his second major donation in recent weeks, following a separate gift to a leading hospital near me.

The donation will go to GFoundation, an organization working with vulnerable girls. The money will provide menstrual care kits, including sanitary pads, warming packs, and hygiene supplies. It will also fund sex education programs and upgrades to hygiene facilities in schools and community centers near me.

Byeon shared his hope that the contribution would reduce the struggles of girls who lack access to essential products during their periods. He emphasized the importance of dignity and comfort in their daily lives. Lee Jun-young, a GFoundation official, thanked the actor for his generosity and commitment to the cause. This donation follows another 100 million won gift Byeon made to Severance Hospital, a general hospital, at the start of the year.

GFoundation will use the funds to protect the rights of at-risk girls and improve their living conditions. The donation will directly address gaps in hygiene access and education. Meanwhile, Severance Hospital will continue providing medical care to children and adolescents with Byeon’s support.
