Burlington Workshop Teaches Seed Saving for Future Gardens

A hands-on workshop on seed saving and processing will take place in Burlington, Ontario, this month. Participants will learn how to collect, clean, and store seeds from their gardens for future planting. The session runs on Sunday, July 30th, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.

The workshop will cover essential techniques for harvesting and storing both vegetable and ornamental plant seeds. Attendees can expect practical advice on cross-pollination and how to prevent unwanted surprises in next year's garden.

During the session, participants will create secure, no-tape seed packets to take home. The event also includes demonstrations on seed cleaning, sorting, and proper storage methods.

Organisers aim to help gardeners preserve their favourite plants efficiently. No prior experience is required, and all materials will be provided.

By the end of the workshop, attendees will leave with their own seed packets and new skills for next season. The techniques shared should help gardeners maintain healthy, predictable crops year after year. Registration details are available through local gardening groups.
