Bremen's Charity Run Supports Animal Shelter on April 12
The Bremen Animal Shelter is hosting its annual charity run on April 12, with all proceeds supporting the shelter's work. Runners of every ability are invited to take part, including families with children. Registration remains open until April 8, with a small fee covering entry and a post-race vegan breakfast. The event will begin at 9:00 AM at the animal shelter on Hemmstraße. Participants will follow a five-kilometre route, looping twice around the university lake. Timings will be recorded, and rankings awarded based on finish positions.
Emin da Silva has been named as the run's patron. The registration fee is set at €20 per person, rising to €25 for late entries after the April 8 deadline. After the race, runners can enjoy a vegan breakfast while the awards ceremony takes place. Children under 14 are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Organisers have stressed that the event is open to all, regardless of experience or pace.
Funds raised from the run will go directly to the Bremen Animal Shelter. The event offers a chance for the community to support animal welfare while enjoying a morning of exercise. Registration closes in just over a week, with limited spaces available for late sign-ups.
