Braunschweig's Seed Sale Event Blends Gardening, Family Fun and Local Flavors
A seed sale event will take place in Braunschweig on Sunday, February 22. Organised at the Sustainability Center (NHZ), the gathering will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors can explore regional and organic seeds while enjoying family-friendly activities and local produce.
The event will be held at Bohlweg 55, where the Gartennetzwerk Braunschweig—a local group focused on sustainable gardening—will host seed swaps and information stalls. Attendees can learn about nature-friendly gardening techniques and pick up organic seeds for their own plots.
The Streuobst Ast association will also join, sharing details about its conservation projects. Fresh apple juice, made from locally grown fruit, will be available for tasting and purchase. Alongside the seed sale, kids activities and culinary treats will keep families entertained throughout the day.
The event offers a chance to support regional and organic gardening efforts. Visitors can take home seeds, sample local produce, and discover sustainable practices. The Sustainability Center will remain open for the full four-hour duration.
