Brandenburg lets children have their say - Competition starts - Brandenburg’s 2026 Children’s Festival Celebrates Young Creativity on Stage

Brandenburg’s annual Children’s Festival will return on 1 June 2026, marking International Children’s Day with a celebration of young talent. Minister-President Dietmar Woidke (SPD) has invited primary schools, special-needs schools, after-school clubs, and sports groups to take part in the event. Organisers are encouraging children to present their creativity through performances, projects, and teamwork.

The festival offers a platform for children to share their ideas in various forms. Participants can submit entries in music, dance, theatre, sports, or group projects. The goal is to highlight young voices and artistic expression across the region.

The festival aims to give children a public stage for their work while fostering teamwork and imagination. Selected participants will perform or display their projects on 1 June 2026, with the winning entries earning a special visit to Filmpark Babelsberg. Schools and clubs have until the deadline to prepare their submissions for consideration.
