Brand Overhaul: A New Leaf for Boots & Barkley Pet Line from Target

Heads Up! Fresh Take on Target's Pet Accessories Reinvention

Let's talk about the latest scoop from Target – they've given their long-standing Boots & Barkley pet accessories line a well-deserved facelift! But this ain't just a makeover; it's a major revamp, featuring over 150 new goodies! From apparel and snuggly toys to tasty treats and festive trimmings, you'll find plenty to spoil your furry friend. But here's the kicker – two-thirds of these products cost less than ten bucks! Since a whopping 70% of Target's customer base are pet parents, this rebrand is sure to be a hit!

Now, what about those snazzy new designs? Target has said goodbye to the old black, white, and red packaging and welcomed green, blue, and purple hues for dogs, cats, and all-round pet-friendly items, respectively. Plus, the new packaging allows you to take a sneak peek at the products without destroying them!

Boots & Barkley first found a home at Target back in 2011, and now it's the latest private label to get a facelift from the retail giant. Target announced a five-year plan in March to revamp merchandise across multiple categories, boosting its private labels. The aim? Generate an additional $15 billion in revenue during this period. Brian Cornell, Target's CEO, said that a dozen store labels bring in at least $1 billion in sales, so it's clear they're committed to investing in their successful brands.

Last month, Target unveiled Good Little Garden, a private label brand for fresh flowers and plants. They've also been working on extending their grocery offerings under Good & Gather and Favorite Day brands, promising to add 600 new items by 2025!

Target's passion for pet owners doesn't stop there. In fact, 30% of customers already buy pet products from the retailer! While some of the Boots & Barkley products are new, others have been given a fresh look with the new packaging. To entice pet lovers even more, Target's offering Boots & Barkley discounts and freebies this month at selected stores. Yup, you heard it right! Target Circle members can grab a sweet 20% off the pet products this weekend!

As Amanda Nusz, Target's senior vice president of merchandising, puts it, "Pets are family, and we've gone all in to create the refreshed Boots & Barkley brand to bring joy to pets and their parents." So, let's celebrate our four-legged friends with these stylish, affordable, and high-quality pet accessories!
