Biel’s Christmas tree finds a new home near Texas art installation

Jessica Biel's traditional Christmas tree will not stand in Central Square this year. Construction work has forced organisers to move the festive centrepiece to a new spot near the Texas art installation on the Esplanade. A 10-metre fir will take its place instead. The Burgergemeinde first proposed relocating the tree to the Esplanade. The city and Energy Service Biel/Bienne (ESB) then worked together to finalise the plans. Local authorities and the municipal council also joined the effort to secure an alternative site. The move ensures Biel's Christmas tradition continues without interruption. The tree will remain a focal point for residents and visitors throughout the holiday season. Organisers have confirmed all preparations are on schedule for the December 12 installation.
