Berlin’s Rare Cactus Exhibition Blooms Again at Botanischen Garten
Germany’s largest privately organised cactus and succulent exhibition has returned to Berlin. The event, known as Berliner Kakteentage, takes place at the Botanischen Garten Berlin and is hosted by the Berliner Gruppe der Deutschen Kakteen-Gesellschaft e.V. Visitors can explore rare plants, expert talks, and themed displays across 500 square metres of space.
The biennial exhibition transforms the New Greenhouse into a vibrant showcase of desert flora. Striking arrangements of cacti and succulents fill the space, alongside specialist literature and accessories for enthusiasts. Professional growers offer a wide selection of plants for sale, from common varieties to rare specimens.
Past editions have attracted up to 6,000 attendees, drawn by the event’s reputation for quality and variety. This year’s displays recreate different habitats, giving visitors a chance to see how these plants thrive in arid environments. Expert advice is also available, helping both beginners and seasoned collectors care for their plants.
The exhibition runs until the end of the weekend, with all plants, books, and accessories available for purchase. Organisers expect strong interest, continuing the event’s tradition as a highlight for cactus lovers. The Botanischen Garten Berlin remains a key venue for horticultural enthusiasts across the region.
