Berlin’s ‘Operation Christmas Child’ Brings Holiday Joy to Needy Kids

Samaritan’s Purse, a Berlin-based charity, is once again organizing 'Operation Christmas Child', aiming to bring joy to children in need this holiday season. The organization, known for its transparency and effective humanitarian efforts, is inviting locals to participate by filling shoeboxes with gifts. The campaign runs from November 10 to 17, with drop-off points and a donation café set up for convenience.

The process is simple: anyone can obtain labels, packing tips, or wrap and fill boxes with Christmas paper at the café located at Oskar-Graemer-Straße 6. The café will be open Monday through Saturday from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, providing ample opportunity for participation. For those unable to visit the café, the church can be contacted outside these hours at 0163/36 20 178 or via email at [email protected] for more information.

Samaritan’s Purse ensures the packages reach their destinations through local distribution partners. Since 2021, the organization has also been aiding people experiencing homelessness and women trapped in forced prostitution in German-speaking regions, expanding its reach and impact. Over the past years, nearly twelve million children living in difficult circumstances have received a gift box through this initiative. The organization is regularly audited by the German Central Institute for Social Issues (DZI) and recommended as worthy of support.

Operation Christmas Child is a heartwarming campaign that brings happiness to children in need. Samaritan’s Purse, with its proven track record and transparency, makes it easy for locals to contribute. By filling a shoebox with gifts, you can make a difference this holiday season.
