The image shows a painting of a group of children playing musical instruments in a room with a wall, window, curtain, flower vase, and other objects in the background. On the right side of the painting, there is a woman sitting on a bench with a cloth draped over it, and on the floor there are threads and other items scattered around. The painting is titled "The Music Lesson" and was created in 1872 by the artist Gustave Courbet.

Berlin's New Sound Detectives Workshop Sparks Kids' Creativity in 2026

A new interactive workshop for young children is coming to Berlin next year. Sharp Ears and Sound Detectives will let kids explore music, movement, and storytelling in a playful setting. The event starts on 1 March 2026 at the Exploratorium Berlin.

The workshop is split into two sessions. Children aged 3 to 6 can attend from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A separate session for ages 2 to 3 runs from 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM.

During the hour-long activities, participants will create short pieces by mixing sounds, visuals, and movement. They can also bring their own instruments to join in. Admission works on a pay what you can basis, with suggested contributions between €4 and €7.

The Exploratorium Berlin, known for its experimental performances, will host the event. Organisers encourage families to register early for a spot.

More details and sign-ups are available at www.exploratorium-berlin.com. The workshop offers a chance for young children to engage with music and creativity in a hands-on way. Sessions begin in March 2026, with flexible pricing to suit different budgets.
