Bergisch Gladbach's 'Fair Week' Draws Crowds, Highlights Fairtrade

Bergisch Gladbach recently hosted a 'Fair Week', drawing many enthusiasts who engaged with the Fairtrade topic. The event, held from September 12 to 26, 2025, saw various activities, including a guessing game at the WIR-mobile and a reading with wine tasting at the city library.

The Fairtrade steering group of Bergisch Gladbach played a significant role in the 'Fair Week'. They organised numerous offers and events around Fairtrade, with one highlight being the guessing game at the WIR-mobile. Over 150 people participated, with prizes including fair footballs and fair-traded coffee.

At the city library, the event 'Aromas of the World' took place. It featured a reading by Renate Beisenherz-Galas from the book 'Fair for future', followed by a wine tasting. The One World Shop invited attendees to an additional wine tasting after the reading.

Okan Soylu and Nesrin Hussein were the lucky winners of the fair footballs.

The 'Fair Week' in Bergisch Gladbach proved to be a successful event, with many visitors showing great interest in the Fairtrade topic. The Fairtrade steering group's efforts, including the guessing game and the reading with wine tasting, contributed to the week's success.
