Bavarian Puzzle 2025: Fifth Enigma to Unveil

Festivally Yours: Bavaria's Singing Celebrations

Bavaria's got the tunes, and we're proud of it! Our cultural melody is a continuous blend of tradition and novelty, tying together Bavarians from all walks of life. It's a diverse soundscape that transcends barriers and bridges cultures.

Ever wondered where to catch this robust melody in action? You betcha! Look no further than the multitude of lively events scattered across the countryside, with festivals being the cherry on top. The pièce de résistance? The "Drumherum" in Regen, nestled in the Bavarian Forest, which takes place every two years since 1998 during Pentecost. Music enthusiasts from near and far gathered in 2024, with over 400 ensembles, 2500 performers, and a whopping 50,000 attendees, turning Regen into a five-day symphony.

Get ready for a melodiously harmonious gathering at the "Volksmusiktag Mittendrin" in Eichstätt, which launched in 2011 and holds down every two years as a three-day event. The festival, run entirely by volunteers, invites you to join the festivities with the motto, "Mittendrin in Eichstätt, Mittendrin in Bayern, Mittendrin im Leben" (Right in Eichstätt, Right in Bavaria, Right in Life).

Mark your calendars for the eighth "Volksmusiktag Mittendrin" from 18 to 20 July 2025. We expect around 100 music groups and over 1000 musicians to shake things up with a vibrant program in the heart of Eichstätt's old town. Don't miss the "Young Wild Ones" stage, where the future stars show off their musical prowess. In addition, there will be information stands, as well as a "Mittendrin" market featuring instruments, arts, crafts, traditional garb, and more.

Mystery Unveiled:

How many times has the "Volksmusiktag mittendrin" taken place in Eichstätt this July? I'm afraid there's a catch—the exact number remains a mystery. To discover the secret, join in the Bayern Puzzle each week and stand a chance to win some sweet rewards!
