Bambi-Bambini-Bassum Festival returns with free fun for kids after hiatus

The Bambi-Bambini-Bassum Children's Festival is back after a three-year break. This year's main event will take place on April 18 and 19 at the Northwest German Shooting Federation's event hall in Bassum. Organisers hope to attract even more visitors than the 1,000 who attended the free event in 2023.

The festival offers free activities for children from infants up to 13 years old. Entertainment includes acrobats from Fresnay-sur-Sarthe and magicians from Bremen. Kids can also learn practical skills, such as fire-starting without modern tools, led by the Wildnisschule Neetzen.

All events are free thanks to support from sponsors. The spacious hall allows activities to move indoors if the weather turns bad. Organisers Marcello Monaco, Birgit Blocksdorff, and Daniela Franzen have decorated the shooting hall with bright colours to create a welcoming atmosphere.

The festival stands out as a celebration of community effort and creativity. Last year's success has raised expectations for an even bigger turnout in 2024.

The main event promises a mix of fun and learning for young attendees. With no entry fees and a variety of performances and workshops, it aims to bring families together. Organisers are confident the festival will once again highlight the strength of local collaboration.
