Auburn Estate: A Harmonious Hilltop Haven by Houseof9Designs
Nestled in Karnataka's hills, the Auburn Estate Home, designed by Nain Belliappa of Houseof9Designs, is a stunning 6,500 sq ft residence that took three years to complete. Inspired by her hill station upbringing, Belliappa has crafted a home that blends seamlessly with its coffee and pepper plantation surroundings.
The home's name, Auburn, reflects its earthy colour palette of russet, umber, and terracotta. The layout flows effortlessly from the foyer, through a formal living room and family room, to the kitchen, four bedrooms, and bathrooms. The couple residing here tend to the lush plantations that surround the home.
Belliappa's design draws from her own experiences growing up in hill stations. The home's location, overlooking the plantations, was a key inspiration. The architectural firm she heads, Houseof9Designs, brought her vision to life over the course of three years.
The Auburn Estate Home is not just a residence; it's a testament to Nain Belliappa's ability to harmonise design with its environment. The home's earthy tones, fluid layout, and plantation views create a sanctuary for its inhabitants and a unique addition to Karnataka's hill station landscape.
