Astana's Green Transformation: Parks, Boulevards, and Art Installations Bloom

Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, is undergoing significant transformations under the guidance of its Akim (mayor). The city is witnessing comprehensive development, including improvements to social and infrastructure facilities, road networks, and landscaping projects.

One of the notable changes is the revamp of the embankment in Ataturk Park. The area has been updated with a stone bank solution, enhancing both its appearance and safety. Additionally, the realization of the new pedestrian boulevard GreenLine is underway. Stretching over 3 km, the first section is already completed and adorned with large trees, a pond system, and themed zones.

This year alone, 170 courtyards and public spaces have been landscaped, with over 1 million green plants added to the city's greenery. Major streets like Mangilik Yel, Abai, Najimedenova, and Turkestan are being transformed into barrier-free environments. Unique art installations, including the 'Tree of Life' monument dome, have been installed in the Park of Peace and Accord. The Alley of Kuyishiler in the Almaty area has been reconstructed with modern amenities and greenery. The street of Mametova has been landscaped in a single architectural style, and the square in front of the 'Tulpar' TD has been updated. The reconstruction of the embankment section near Triathlon Park is ongoing, with new walking routes, sports zones, and large trees being planted.

These developments are part of Astana's ongoing efforts to improve the city's infrastructure, enhance its aesthetic appeal, and create more green spaces for its residents and visitors. The city continues to evolve, with more projects expected to be completed in the near future.
