Escaped Cow Captured After Months with Tranquilizer Dart - Arielle the runaway cow finally captured after six months in the wild

A lone cow named Arielle has been safely captured after spending six months on her own near Lake Seeham in Upper Bavaria. The animal sanctuary Gut Aiderbichl stepped in to rescue her, fearing she would not survive the winter alone. Authorities and her original owners also played a role in the operation.

Arielle first escaped from her pasture in late spring and had been living wild near the lake ever since. Her owners tried repeatedly to recapture her, using food and other methods, but all attempts failed. Even police intervention proved unsuccessful in bringing her back.

The rescue ensures Arielle will spend the winter in a safe environment. Gut Aiderbichl has taken full responsibility for her care. Her story highlights the challenges of recapturing animals that have lived independently for extended periods.
