Announcing the collaboration between Hot Wheels and Ferrari: A Heritage Set bridging classic and modern Ferrari designs.
In a thrilling revival of a decade-long collaboration, Hot Wheels and Ferrari have joined forces once again, unveiling an exciting lineup of miniature models that pay homage to the rich history of the Italian automaker. The announcement was made in January 2023, marking the beginning of a multi-year collaborative effort.
The partnership kicks off with the release of the Hot Wheels x Ferrari Heritage Set, a meticulously crafted collection that includes 1:64 scale versions of two iconic Ferraris: the 1970 312 P and the 2024 499P Modificata. The latter, launched as part of Ferrari's Sport Prototipi Clienti program, is a track-only hypercar that serves as the flagship of the Heritage Set.
The miniature 2024 499P Modificata boasts a Spectraflame rosso corsa body coat, racing number 24 on the hood and sides, pinstripes in the colour of the Italian flag, 10-spoke Real Riders wheels, a removable engine cover, and a black interior. Its smaller counterpart, the 1970 312 P, showcases a bright red Spectraflame coat, racing number 25 on the doors and hood, deep-dish Neo-Classics Redline wheels, a deep red interior, and an engine cover that opens up.
The Heritage Set is presented in a hinged "soft-touch" box, designed for displaying the cars. It is a testament to the sturdier build that Hot Wheels has employed for added authenticity. The set is currently sold out on Mattel's website, priced at $100.
In addition to the Heritage Set, the partnership promises more premium models. These include collectible-grade versions of the LaFerrari, F50, and 250 GTO, with more refined detailing and priced as high as $20.
The upcoming Hot Wheels x Ferrari releases for 2025 include a special edition Hot Wheels Ferrari 2-Pack, as well as new models like the Hot Wheels F40 Competizione, Ferrari SF90, Ferrari 365 GTB4 Competizione, and the Ferrari 499P chase car, featured in the Hot Wheels Circuit Legends 2 set. The Circuit Legends 2 set notably includes a rare Black Ferrari 499P chase car, marking Hot Wheels' renewed partnership with Ferrari.
A highlight of the 2025 lineup is a remote-controlled version of the SF90 Stradale, set to be released in June at a price of $20. Moreover, a vintage-inspired set, including the Ferrari 250 GTO and Fiat 642 RN2 Bartoletti Transporter, will be released in October.
The miniature versions of the 2024 499P Modificata in the Heritage Set also feature removable engine covers, adding an element of interactivity to the collectibles. Through the lightly smoke-tinted windows of the miniature 2024 499P Modificata, you can view the black interior.
The 1970 312 P, featured in the Heritage Set, is a nod to the first-ever Ferrari produced by Hot Wheels in 1969. This collaboration between the two brands promises to deliver an exciting array of collectibles for enthusiasts of both Hot Wheels and Ferrari.
