The Tierschutzzentrum Duisburg association is hosting a lively and heartwarming animal-loving festival, called "Summer Grumble," at the city's animal shelter on July 5th and 6th. Expect a vibrant atmosphere, contagious animal spirit, and that authentic Ruhrpott charm!

Get ready to laugh with Markus Krebs and pals
On Sunday, reality TV star Detlev Steves ("Off to the Garden!") and stand-up comedian, Markus Krebs, who's on tour with his "Beer Foam is my Lipstick" show, will be joining the festivities to spread some genuine Ruhrpott humor.

On Sunday, Simone Sombecki, recognized from the TV show "Finding Forever Homes," will showcase a unique dog show. Melanie Fydrich, the Top Dog Germany winner with her Border Collie Trouble, will also be there for a live performance.
Police dog demonstrations, live music, dance performances, children's activities, a craft fair for humans and pets, and informative pet and animal protection booths are just a few of the attractions planned during the festival. Meet the adorable furry residents of the shelter on stage, and take a look at the adoption lounge to learn about other animals in need of forever homes.
All about animals, sharing the love
Although adoptions won't be happening on the spot, the shelter staff will be there to answer any questions you might have about animal care and adoption processes, among other topics.
The festival will take place from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday and 11 am to 5 pm on Sunday at Lehmstraße 12 in Duisburg-Neuenkamp. Admission is free, but donations for the shelter are encouraged. If you're eager to lend a hand and bring some extra affection to the animals, come on down!
