Alexandria’s Ugliest Sweaters Raise Funds to Fight Holiday Hunger
The Santa Claus Yacht Club (SCYC) is hosting its annual Ugly Sweater Party on December 10 to raise funds for local families. This year’s event at Murphy’s will include a silent auction, featuring a rare bottle of Pappy Van Winkle bourbon. The party remains one of SCYC’s largest family fundraisers for combating hunger in Alexandria.
The event takes place upstairs at Murphy’s from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Tickets cost £15 if bought online or £20 at the door. Guests can enjoy live music and compete in the annual Ugly Sweater Contest.
Proceeds from the party will directly fund hunger relief in Alexandria. The event’s mix of contests, music, and auctions aims to draw a crowd while supporting local families. SCYC’s efforts focus on filling gaps left when school meal programmes pause for the holidays.
