Aldi Re-opens on Rübenstraße
ALDI Opens Modernized Store in Unna-Massen and Wuppertal
ALDI Nord, a leading supermarket chain, has recently opened two modernized stores in Unna-Massen and Wuppertal, as part of its branch network modernization program.
In Unna-Massen, customers are welcomed with a fresh selection of around 120 fruit and vegetable items, ready-to-eat products, and an enlarged bakery display offering around 40 products. The new store, spanning nearly 1,000 square meters, is equipped with energy-saving LED lighting and a heat recovery system for refrigeration equipment.
The modern ALDI branches, like the one in Wuppertal, are uniformly structured to support the brand identity and focus on essentials, making shopping particularly easy for customers. Superfluous decorative elements are avoided, with clearly visible actions and signs on walls and shelves instead.
The Wuppertal store has been expanded and collaborates with the local bakery Kamps, which supplements the approximately 30-item ALDI bakery range with around ten local specialties. Food and non-food articles are clearly separated from each other, and shelf heights are adapted for easy shopping.
ALDI Nord emphasizes sustainability in building materials, as stated by Markus Mozin. The new Wuppertal store, similar to more than 750 identical buildings in the German ALDI Nord branch network, does without fossil fuels. Moreover, more than 800 photovoltaic systems are installed on its roof, as part of ALDI Nord's efforts in Germany.
On the opening day, customers can expect a raffle, with the first 100 visitors receiving a scratch card as a welcome gift, and a 500 euro ALDI shopping voucher as the main prize. A free sausage and waffle stand and a food truck will also be available on this day.
More than 60 parking spaces are available at the new ALDI branch in Wuppertal for a relaxed shopping experience. A sufficient number of bicycle parking spaces can be found in direct proximity to the store. Extra-wide parking spaces for people with a physical disability and parent-child parking spaces are also provided.
The new ALDI branches, including the ones in Unna-Massen and Wuppertal, offer an average of 1,860 products from 18 product groups in a branch, plus up to three weekly changing special articles. ALDI own brands make up around 87 percent of the total range in the modern ALDI branches.
The stores are easily accessible by public transport, making them convenient for customers. The ALDI store in Wuppertal, for instance, boasts a convenient location that allows for a seamless shopping experience.
In conclusion, the new ALDI stores in Unna-Massen and Wuppertal represent the future of shopping, with a focus on sustainability, accessibility, and customer convenience.
