Albuquerque’s BioPark Debuts First U.S. Lebanese Garden

Albuquerque BioPark’s Botanic Garden has opened its newest attraction: a half-acre space dedicated to Lebanese plants and culture. The garden, named Lebanon and Beyond, is the first of its kind in the country and replaces the site’s former Mediterranean display.

The official unveiling took place on Thursday. Visitors can now explore a collection of olive and fig trees, along with other plants native to Lebanon. The project was developed by the Albuquerque BioPark in partnership with the local Lebanese community.

The new space offers a chance to experience Lebanese flora in a carefully designed setting. As the nation’s first Lebanese garden, it adds a unique cultural and botanical feature to the Albuquerque BioPark. The exhibit is now open to the public.
