Aachen Library Unveils Free January Events for Families of All Ages

Aachen City Library has announced an exciting January programme for families. The events include crafts, storytelling, and film screenings—all free to attend. Sessions will cater to different languages and age groups throughout the month.

The month kicks off with Picture Book Cinema, running on Tue, Jan 13, Fri, Jan 16, Thu, Jan 22, and Wed, Jan 28. These screenings will bring stories to life on the big screen for young audiences.

Bilingual Storytime sessions are also on the schedule. Children’s librarian Maria Schneider will lead an English-German session on Thu, Jan 22, followed by a Spanish-German session on Wed, Jan 28. These readings aim to engage children in multiple languages. For fairy-tale lovers, Fairy Tales with Maria will take place every Saturday and Wednesday in January. The programme further includes a special Discovery Time event on Thu, Jan 29, themed 'Carnival!'—designed for children and their grandparents to enjoy together.

The library's January events offer a mix of entertainment and learning. Families can choose from film showings, multilingual readings, and themed activities. All sessions remain free, ensuring access for everyone in the community.
