A Woman-Led Firm Transforms a Prior Lake Home Into a Nature Glam Haven
A Prior Lake home has been transformed into a personalised retreat by Stockwell Homes, a woman-led design-build firm. The project, named nature glam, blends earthy warmth with the residence's grand architecture. Owners Kara and Tami wanted a space that suited their lifestyle while keeping the home's stately charm.
The renovation focused on three key aims: creating an open layout, flooding rooms with natural light, and balancing aesthetics with clear, functional zones. Kara and Tami, who enjoy hosting, also needed a design that worked seamlessly with their daily routines. The result includes a butler's pantry and a striking double-island kitchen—now their favourite features.
Stockwell Homes handled every stage, from 3D renderings and architectural plans to sourcing materials and managing construction. The team added unique lighting, textured ceilings, and bespoke wall treatments to bring warmth and depth to the space. The *nature glam* style merges relaxed, organic elements with the home's original grandeur, making it feel both cosy and refined. The firm, which specialises in full-home remodels, is marking its sixth anniversary this August. To celebrate, Stockwell Homes will soon open a new showroom and studio space.
The Prior Lake project turned a sprawling, impersonal house into a tailored home for two. Distinct areas now flow naturally, while custom details and improved lighting enhance both comfort and elegance. The renovation reflects the couple's love of entertaining and the firm's skill in blending practicality with high-end design.
