A Warsaw Suburb Apartment Transformed Into Understated Luxury by Olga Gryban
A luxurious 1,765-square-foot apartment in Konstancin, a prestigious suburb of Warsaw, has been transformed into a refined living space. Interior designer Olga Gryban led the project, marking her first major commission in Poland—a country she knew little about before 2021. The result blends modern elegance with deep earthy tones and bespoke details.
The apartment sits on the third floor of a six-unit neoclassical complex, built in 2015. Tall windows frame views of a shared courtyard, flooding the space with natural light. The client selected Konstancin for its historic villas, lush forests, and clean air—just a short distance from Warsaw's centre.
Gryban chose a muted palette dominated by Sage Mountain (1488) from Benjamin Moore, a taupe-green hue that lends sophistication to the walls. The entryway features Marvel Stone tiles by Atlas Concorde, setting a sleek tone for the interior. Every element, from custom furniture to auction-sourced cabinet handles, was meticulously curated by the designer.
The goal was to craft a space that felt both stylish and supremely comfortable. Gryban's approach balanced modern aesthetics with warmth, ensuring the apartment reflected the client's desire for understated luxury.
This project also marked a significant milestone for the designer, who had previously worked outside Poland. Her first large-scale commission in the country began in Wałbrzych, a city unfamiliar to her at the time.
The completed apartment now stands as a testament to thoughtful design and precision. Its bespoke features, from the colour scheme to the handpicked materials, create a cohesive and inviting home. The project also highlights Gryban's ability to adapt her craft to new settings, delivering a space that aligns perfectly with the client's vision.
