A cluttered Logroño apartment becomes a sleek minimalist retreat
A once cluttered apartment in Logroño, Spain, has been transformed into a sleek, minimalist haven by architect David Iriondo. The renovation, led by Iriondo's studio, has opened up the space and introduced striking design elements.
The apartment's original layout, characterized by numerous corners and dropped ceilings, was completely reimagined. Iriondo separated the living and sleeping areas, creating two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, that face the inner courtyards.
The studio's signature style is evident in the carefully selected furniture, which reinforces the minimalist aesthetic. Massive concrete beams were integrated into the design, adding a raw, industrial touch and creating rooms with high ceilings up to 2.7 meters.
Sage green was used as the project's standout color, complementing other materials and adding warmth and depth to the design. This color, along with natural light, plays a key role in the design, ensuring an even distribution throughout the apartment.
The kitchen, dining space, and living room now flow seamlessly in an open-plan area, with access to a terrace that offers city views.
The renovation, led by David Iriondo of DIriondo Studio, has successfully transformed the Logroño apartment into a minimalist, open space with precise contrasts. The use of sage green, natural light, and careful furniture selection have created a warm, inviting atmosphere, despite the industrial touches.
