A 75-Foot Norway Spruce Arrives for Rockefeller Center’s Iconic Christmas Tree

The Rockefeller Center's 2022 Christmas Tree, a 75-foot tall Norway Spruce, has arrived in New York. The 11-ton tree was donated by an individual whose name remains unknown.

The tree was carefully wrapped and prepared for its journey to the Big Apple. On November 8, riggers will begin the task of craning the tree into its iconic position. Last year's tree, also a Norway Spruce, was 79 feet tall and weighed 12 tons. The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree tradition began in 1933 and attracts millions of visitors each year.

The 2022 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, a 75-foot tall Norway Spruce, will be officially lit on November 30, kicking off the holiday season in New York City.
