A 14-Square-Meter Paris Apartment Gets a Bold 1920s-Inspired Makeover

A tiny 14-square-meter apartment in Paris has been transformed into a bright, functional retreat. Inspired by 1920s ocean liners, the space now blends bold design with clever storage. Architect Kevork Arsenian and interior designer Thomas Christiaen worked together to reimagine the studio for its Montreal-based owner. The apartment sits in the lively Belleville district, serving as a pied-à-terre with a striking interior. A custom-built wooden structure, designed by Christiaen, acts as the core of the space. It houses the kitchenette, bathroom, and supports a new mezzanine level for sleeping. The renovation turned a compact Parisian studio into a stylish, efficient living space. The blend of 1920s-inspired lines, smart storage, and natural light makes it both practical and visually striking. The owner now has a unique pied-à-terre that balances form and function in just 14 square meters.
