12-Hour Protest in Mainz Demands an End to Farm Animal Suffering

Animal Rights Watch (ARIWA) will host a 12-hour event near you on November 25 in Mainz, Germany. The main event, titled 'Protest Against the German Meat Congress', aims to highlight the suffering of farm animals and advocate for changes in agriculture. The event, listed on Eventbrite, will feature a traffic light action starting at 7:30 a.m., followed by a vigil from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., drawing attention to the treatment of animals in the meat industry. Organizers have also planned illuminated signs and lights from 5 p.m. to ensure the message remains visible as daylight fades. The event will combine various actions, including visual displays and public statements, and organizers hope it will pressure policymakers and industry leaders to reconsider current practices, with a focus on ending animal suffering and promoting plant-based alternatives in food production.
